Superstar Rajinikanth and Nayantahara shot a song for Kuselan, in the backwaters of Alappuzha in Kerala.
The song is being shot by director P. Vasu on a luxury house boat in the backwaters of the famous Punnamada Kayal (lake), where the famous Nehru boat race takes place.
The song is a peppy number tuned by G.V Prakash and choreographed by Lawrence.On both sides of the lake there were thousands of people mainly tourists who had come to see the shooting and see Rajinikanth in flesh and blood.
The superstar went out of his way to wave to the people as Rajinikanth ki jai rendered the air. One of the co-producers of the film G.P Vijayakumar of 'Seven Arts' had employed nearly 100 people as security, for the actors and to avoid media glare. But a contigent of mediamen and videographers came in Chundan Vallam's (small boats) to capture the event.In the melee, cameraman Aravind Krishna fell and sprained his ankle and was hospitalised. Meanwhile the best of seafood and fresh water fishes was laid out including the delicious local Karimeen (Pearl Spot).
What amazed the locals was the superstar was able to speak in fluent Malayalam with them. After the Alappuzha shoot scenes involving Rajinikanth will be over and he is planning to take off from Kochi to Delhi enroute to Rishikesh in the Himalaya's. Every year during the summer he spents some time in the Himalayas on a "spiritual sojurn".
